Horsehair brings together five acts for an evening of experimental string and electronic music at Avalon Cafe (London), featuring:
Flora Yin-Wong (PAN/Modern Love): experimental artist and writer from London whose work incorporates field recordings and early instruments such as singing bowls, yangqin and kemence, processed through pedals, Max/MSP, as well as text-based storytelling and abstraction.
[Duo] Caius Williams (double bass) & Ute Kanngiesser (cello): Caius Williams is a musician working mostly within experimental and improvised music (OTOROKU/Cherche Encore), Ute Kanngießer is a London-based cellist and composer from Germany (Reading Group). [Duo] Isidora Edwards (cello) & Luigi Marino (percussions): A collaboration between Chilean cellist Isidora and Italian percussionist/electronic artist Luigi, blending cello, percussion, and electronics in a freely improvised set.Pietro Bardini: Composer and AV artist presenting a new piece for string quartet and electronics.
Julia Dèng Hànzú: Performer working with traditional Chinese plucked instruments integrated with electronics and interactive systems.
