EcstaticDanceNumber.mp3 is the first public event of Chloe Langlois’ ongoing devotional performance project Hot Snakes. Bringing together musical numbers by Bob Fosse, tap dancing after school, religious ecstatic dance and loopy acid trips, EcstaticDanceNumber.Mp3 is an attempt to reach Hot Snakes, through an altered state of repetition & duration.
Over the course of the evening Chloe Langlois, Qingqing Liu, John Anthony Thadicaran, Kate Mahony, Freiderike Steinert, Frank Abbot, and Wayne Burrows will each perform their own unique response to Donna Summer’s classic ‘I feel love’.
