Devonshire-born Sarahsson is a composer, producer, multi-instrumentalist, performance artist and DJ living and working in Bristol. Her work draws on personal and cultural mythologies of femininity, transition and synaesthesia, collaging elements of sound design with intricate melodic composition and sculpting natural harmonics and resonance into a balanced form.Â
Sarahsson’s interest in material acoustics has led her to build her own instruments to compose and perform with, alongside the piano and tenor horn. Since 2020 she has brought her unique ear for melody, rich textural harmony and dramatic narratives to an eclectic range of venues across Europe.
