Ruby is a soprano, vocalist and composer based in London. Her passion for new music and contemporary vocal techniques has been inspired by vocalists Juliet Fraser and Nina Guo. She has performed as soloist with Orchestra of the City and as soloist and 1st soprano with the New London Chamber Choir. Her own compositions for soprano and loop station combine her classical training with experimental contemporary practice, creating vocal sounds and sound worlds that explore the spectacle of female suffering, vulnerability and defiance. Ruby studied at Trinity Laban, Goldsmiths University, Melofonetica Opera School and trained with Nina Guo in Berlin.
