Fiere is a unique collaboration between Gaelic singer Joy Dunlop and Scottish fiddle and harp duo Twelfth Day exploring the lives, loves and experiences of women in Scotland. Using poems by female Scottish writers, they create a collection of new songs in English, Gaelic and Scots, showcasing the creative output of Scottish women through fresh and innovative compositions. Featuring three unique vocalists and, at first glance, the unusual combination of harp and fiddle, the arrangements will draw inspiration from the musicians’ combined experiences of individually growing up in Argyll, Orkney and the Scottish Borders.
