sound is pleased to announce the search for our new Composer in Residence for 3 years from 2018-2019 to 2020-2021 as part of our soundcreators programme. The opportunity allows you to work closely with the organisation on an ad hoc basis over three years.


Aimed at talented composers at any stage of their career, we will work closely with the successful candidate to develop a tailor-made programme of development that supports and nurtures their compositional and musical development, personal interests and abilities as well as an opportunity to have their work heard in our promoted events including the annual soundfestival.

Eligibility Requirements:

You must be resident in Scotland

You must not be enrolled in higher education.


The soundcreators programme is funded by the Creative Scotland, Help Musicians UK and the PRS for Music Foundation.
