A new performance for a large group with electric Guitars, 28th April, Goldsmith's London. To take part please email feeldnoise@outlook.com

‘Feel the Noise’ is a spatial and immersive composition by Sharon Gal for a large ensemble of electric guitars. The guitars are played through hand-held mini amplifiers, using a technique that produces low-volume feedback and continuous notes. It is a living and evolving sound sculpture, introducing an inclusive and egalitarian approach to composition & performance through collaborative music-making. It highlights the relationship between sound and space by exploring and responding to the specific characteristics of the performance environment, architecture and acoustics. The players move very slowly, affecting the ambience, projecting their sound and combining it with others, working together to shape and sculpt the sonic material.

The piece will premiere on Saturday, 28th of April at Goldsmith's Large Hall, with a developing process & rehearsals starting at 12.30pm and a live public performance at 7pm.

You have to be available for the whole duration of the process.

‘Feel the Noise’ will bring together different levels of playing, performance skills and experience and we invite participation from beginners as well as more experienced players. No specific guitar skills are required but in order to take part you will need your own electric guitar and battery powered micro amp. (One that you can carry with you while playing)

To be included, please email feeldnoise@outlook.com  telling us about yourself and your interest and confirm that you are available for the whole day/process.

‘Feel the Noise’ is produced in collaboration with Blanca Regina and Steve Beresford
