For this season's Embedded, we are really pleased to be continuing our partnerships with BCMG and Manchester Camerata, as well as working for the first time with Scottish ensemble, Red Note.

The British Music Collection PhD Scholarship, in association with The Centre for Research in New Music is designed for a musicologist or a composer wanting to use the archive in creative ways for the development of new original works.
The first round of our new artist development scheme has attracted a fantastic group of young composers who will be working with vocal trio, Juice, Ensemble 10:10 and the Orchestra of the Age of Enlightenment.
Brahim Kerkour
Brahim Kerkour has been awarded the George Butterworth Prize for 2013 for his work 'In Cirlculation', created as part of the Embedded composer residency scheme with Manchester Camerata.
Sound and Music is delighted to be supporting seven grass roots event-series or festivals of new music, curated and organised by composers for 2013-2014 from the first call for proposals.
