Two composers have been awarded Sound and Music's Francis Chagrin Award to help support the development of their musical projects. The next round of the award is now open for applications.

Go Compose is a national project encouraging more young people to compose, offering them opportunities to work alongside professional composers and musicians to help develop their musical voice.
Go Compose, Sound and Music’s national initiative to get more young people composing, is entering an exciting two year phase of projects, generously supported by Youth Music.
We are delighted to announce six projects selected for our 2018/19 Composer-Curator programme.
We talk to composer Blasio Kavuma, one our Pathways participants, about working with African traditions, the symbiotic relationship of music and dance, and having his works performed in Japan.
