Meet our composers for 2017/18 A digital showcase of the best new music in the UK today! Every year, Sound and Music shine a light on the work of the composers who are currently on our Artist Development programmes. These are our New Voices. Coming from a diverse range of musical styles - across the UK - they are pioneering some of the most exciting innovations in music composition and performance today. New Voices are selected through a highly competitive open process to create new work with their residency partners, who can be as stylistically diverse as the ROLI, Sage Gateshead and the Bristish Paraorchestra (to name but a few!) This year we are also delighted to showcase the artists and composers on our groundbreaking Pathways Programme - Pathways forms one strand of Sound and Music's Active Encouragement work that seeks to test and explore how to address the inequalities of opportunity for composers to develop their talent in the new music sector. We will be regularly profiling New Voice a week, sharing their work, blogs, interviews and more but for now, browse the list below and get to know them a little better. Meet the New Voices!
