News: Patrick Brennan selected as BCMG's Composer-in-Residence

Patrick Brennan has been selected as the composer-in-residence with Birmingham Contemporary Music Group for our fourth Embedded collaboration with them.
Patrick Brennan was born in Derry, Northern Ireland. He studied piano at the Royal College of Music with Julian Jacobson, and composition at the Guildhall School of Music & Drama and the Royal Danish Academy of Music with Julian Anderson and Hans Abrahamsen. As a composer he has worked with orchestras and ensembles including the London Symphony Orchestra, Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, Birmingham Contemporary Music Group, Chroma, Orchestre Philharmonique de Radio France and the Internationale Ensemble Moderne Akademie. He has been a "Guildhall Artist” fellow, an RPS Young Artist, and has been chosen to represent Ireland at the ISCM “World Music Days 2015” festival in Slovenia. He is currently pursuing a PhD in composition at the University of Cambridge, supervised by Richard Causton. He is a member of the Association of Irish Composers.
