Dan Goren is a composer, performer and practice-strong researcher. His recently completed doctoral studies explored interpretations of flowing natural forms through composition and performance. Dan enjoys working with a wide range of other musicians and has recently composed works for The Sixteen, Ensemble de Ereprijs, Okeanos, Clive Bell (shakuhachi) and CoMA.
Having explored increasingly indeterminate notational strategies, Dan's interests are currently focussed towards improvisation, particularly in relation to complex dynamics and contemporary scientific and philosophical notions such as unified spacetime, most recently through work with Music Orbit. He regularly performs with Oxford Improvisers (flugelhorn, trumpet etc).
Dan is also active as a folk musician (guitar and voice) and dancer and is a member of King Stone Rapper.
