The Finance and Administration Manager role will take responsibility across finance and office management with some Board administration.  Reporting to the Executive Director with supervision from the Finance Director the role has particular accountability for all Sound and Music’s financial procedures and systems. The post supports the effective day to day running of the organisation by ensuring that all staff have the resources and facilities they need to do their job effectively. Responsibilities include office equipment and relationships with our Landlord, outsourced suppliers and maintenance contract issues.

The successful applicant will be experienced with Sage up to trial balance level with a proven track record in dealing with financial matters in the Charity sector.  Ideally you will be part or fully qualified and able to demonstrate your technical competence in dealing with year-end as well day-to-day financial activities. SAM is looking for a highly organized individual with excellent communication skills who is willing to take a broader role than just managing the financial elements of the Charity’s work.  Given the post’s access to Board, financial and staff records, it is essential that the post holder respects confidentiality and operates with the highest levels of integrity.
